spray finishes are not actual metal finishes, but contain dyed metal particles
that give the illusion of a metal finish. When shopping for or using
a metallic, remember thes helpful hints.

Most
metallics are not known for exterior durability. If you will be using
the paint on an outdoor project, a clear topcoat must be used unless you
use a metallic from the Outdoor
Spaces line. It is important to note, however, that a clear coat
may somewhat diminish the metal like finish. |
Most metallic spray finishes
will not work on craft foam or florals without damaging the material. Krylon
Crafter's Metallic is safe for both craft foam and florals, as well
as wood, metal and other surfaces.
